Another RAW.

Another two RAW. bracelets. Both were from the idea I got from Valens site. Click and see what I mean..

Some different beading.

I was caught in a dull patch where I had no inspiration. I looked through my stash and found some lovely shiny beads and co-coordinating seed beads. Thought it through and I was away. Here is what I came up with.

RAW. Right Angle Weave. For your information

Here is some of the bracelets I made from a pattern I found on this website.

Valen has made a lovely bracelet in crystals.
She has some great ideas on her site.

This is The Summer Set.Finished them today. Tonight I have done some more wire work. Still not got the feel for it yet. Anyway it is early days yet.
The bugles in the set were very easy to work with. The bracelet with the drops was one I made earlier..

An exciting find

I have literally stumbled upon the most marvelous EYE CANDY. The beadwork is away beyond anything I could ever aspire to but it is lovely non the less. Look for your self and see what I am enthusing about.

The site takes a little time to load, but I am sure you will agree it is worth the wait.

Wild Child sleeps over

Well where is this 'Wild child?' He was just the greatest!! mind you he blethered all night in his sleep, and as I slept about three feet away from him, it made for a lively but sleepless night for me.

Yesterday was a very successful day for me, with the start of my new venture into wire work. I dont even know what type of wire to use. I bought some cheap thin wire in the hardwear store I suppose it should be used for something but certainly not wire work.

My First Wire Work

Here at last is my first attempt at wire work.
Rather clumsy But I will get better. The finishing off is not too great for the moment.
Now I have started I dont really know what to do with them. What do you think?

Thinking about Wire-work

I am nearly there. I have finished that last piece now raring to go and start the working with wire. I just hope it turns out. The last item was a long necklace in red and gold small delicas.

More inspiration!

These two necklaces were my own interpretation of two of Robyn's tutorials.
I made the blue one for a gift to my niece. The tutorials are so straight forward. Robyn has a very humorous way of tell you the instructions. Once again Thank you Robyn.

Thank you Robyn

After coming late to beading I have been beading for nearly a year now. I constantly look for inspiration on the internet. My first inspirational web site has been Robyn A lady with such generosity she felt the need to give back some of her knowledge to people like myself who were wondering where to go and what to try next. Here is what she says about her beading.

So many beads, so little time! I have learned so much from the online beading community, so it's only fair that I try to give a little back.

Looking for my next beading project

Having finished my last two projects I am looking for my next one. Should it be another bracelet , or necklace,or should I try my hand at a cabochon I dont know. Dont worry I love the indecision. It will come to me. Maybe I will try a brand new stitch, for me anyway.

Great new stitch

I have just been browsing the beading blogs and found a wealth of spectacular beading . Having come rather late to this beading lark I can but sit back in amazement at the lovely things that are on show.

Kid's Toy Project

Apparently in the US, a child's bead and wire maze is going to set you back about $70. What? That's madness. I have found a nice little description of how to knock together a bead and wire maze at home for about $10 (€8) or nothing at all if you use just what you have to hand.

A nice project for Daddy, don't you think?

The Princess and the Wild Child

Much as I love my grandkids they do have a way of getting in the way. In the way of my BEADING. As long as they are here I am restricted to showing off my latest baubles and thinking about what I am going to do next. But take five minutes to do a bit of beadwork? Forget it!

Tuesdays and Thursdays the kids come to me after school and we potter about until their Dad comes to get them at seven. Never mind. The time spent with them is worthwhile for their carry on is quite funny and inspiring - (though a little goes a long way).

No Beading Today

No beading today I look after my grandkids Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

I have to put everything out of sight (bead wise I mean) Sami loves looking and touching my work table. He moves everything about and I cant find anything. Hania is a wee sweety when it comes to my beads.. she loves everything.. she oohs and aahs over the lot..

My next project must be some dangles for handbags.. My friend V. is nagging me to make some..I mean nagging in the nicest possible way.. We go to car boots and we look for second hand and broken necklaces .. She started picking up necklaces with very LARGE beads.. when I asked her what will I do with those she answered 'make dangles' so I will take the hint and give it a go..

Just a jumble of things

First of all .. The weavers knot I still have not found it in the magazines , but I will.. However in the mean time , if anyone is interested you could GOOGLE it and you will find quite a few peices on the Weavers Knot..

The next thing is.. I finished the necklace from The Beadweavers Guild here it is in all its glory.. mind you it looks much better in the hand .. As you can see I made it up in the spiral then added a little show-off .. I got the pattern for that in the BWG magazine also.. while I was at it I made some earrings to match..
